There is a special new tool for you to send newsletters available in your admin console. This
service includes among other things:

• Sending targeted messages according to the criteria you set when you subscribe
• Creating groups of subscribers thanks to the criteria you set
• Automatic deletion of subscribers who want to unsubscribe
• Online subscription, adding, deleting, importing and exporting members
• Managing invalid addresses after sending a newsletter
• Back-up of historic data and back-up of your various templates

Newsletters are available in the new "Mailing List/Newsletters" menu (which is accessible from
your admin console admin.(domainname).com).

Previous mailing lists will now be called "discussion lists" and have been replaced in the new
"Mailing List" menu where we will be grouping them from now on.

The discussion lists are recommended when you want to create one address that groups several
other addresses; this is very practical for example if you suggest it to all the members of your
sports club so that you can all send each other messages by writing to one address only that
groups all the club members: you can be sure that each person writing to members will not forget
anyone and that members won’t receive the list from other addresses each time in the “To” and
“CC “ fields of your messages.

If you are using our previous system to send your messages and you want to migrate to the new

Currently there are no restrictions to the number of email addresses and the disk space for each address. In contrast we keep all the messages received for 12 months in the inbox and in all the sub-folders. The "Spam" and "Waste basket" folders are stored for a fortnight and purged automatically, so that you don't have to empty them regularly yourself (and this procedure will carry on).

From today on we will no longer purge (erase) the *sub-folders*, the messages saved there will therefore be stored and saved indefinitely in our data centre.

Pay attention however to messages arriving in the inbox folder that have not been moved after 12 months: they will be automatically erased as before.

In order to keep your messages you just need to put them in a sub-folder of your choice (using Webmail or with a mail software using the IMAP protocol). They are restricted as to the number of files per folder (5'000) but there is not restriction to the number of folders. Anyone using an email account on your hosted site can therefore keep an indefinite number of messages on our installations that are secured and backed up daily.

These new rules only affect people using the IMAP protocol or Webmail to read their email. Those people using POP3 cannot actually take advantage of this archival since, as soon as email has been downloaded, it is transferred to the user's workstation and is automatically erased from our servers. For the next 3 weeks we will be organising the increase in memory for your scripts. You'll be notified in a few days about the exact date for this update which will take place in the early hours of the morning. Once this new limit has been installed, you should get in contact with us if you need even more memory.

A tool remains available to you in your admin console in order to change the execution time for scripts to 5 minutes and 128 Mb for one hour.

We updated the new anti-spam rules about 2 weeks ago. The results are really excellent: more than 99% of spam has been detected as such.

If you are still receiving spam at some of your email addresses connected with your hosting, make sure you do the following:

- Your spam filter should be activated for each email address. In addition, while you are the webmaster for your site and therefore know how to activate this filter, other users of your internet site may not have this ability. Remember to check in your admin console, under the ‘EMAIL’ menu > Managing email, that the spam filter has been activated for everyone. The spam filter may also be activated individually at http://webmail.(yourdomain).com.

- Check that you have indeed deleted the catchall address! This address may have been very practical a few years ago as it allowed you to recover all the messages sent to non-existent addresses. But nowadays spammers do not just use addresses that exist: they send messages to addresses that have been generated at random, and so your catchall address can receive several thousand spam each day, pointlessly!

We automatically offer to assume the annual costs for registering domain names when you sign up for a new hosting. This offer is valid for domain names in .com, .org, .net, .info, .biz, .cn, .us or .name, and from today the same will apply to .fr and .be.
Even if you already own these domains you can entrust us with these costs, in the menu item "DNS", then under "Managing domain names". We will assume the costs for one per contract.
Important: in order to be able to offer you this service, you will need to transfer your domain name to the registrar with which we work, Namebay.com !

As from next 1st July we will be also offering to take care of the Switch registration costs for domains in .CH and .LI. If your main domain is a .ch or .li, you will be contacted by us automatically so that you can authorise us to take care of the invoice for your domain name (unless we have already taken care of charges for another domain for your site hosting).

Up until now our site hosting cost CHF 195,- p.a., and the invoice was sent to you by post. We have also offered online payment using credit cards or Yellownet for chf. 180.- p.a. for a very long time.
In future, if you make your payments via internet (e-banking), and your hosting remains billed at CHF 195.-, we recommend you use a new method of billing for CHF 180.-, whereby you can receive your invoice directly on your computer, using the admin console, and you will then be able to settle your invoice using your usual method of e-banking.
In order to profit from this new billing method we invite you to go to your admin console to the "Administration" menu and then to "Billing". N.B.! It is essential that you choose the method of billing *before* your next invoice is generated.

Integrate sending of text messages from a web page on your Internet site easily and in only a few minutes. Installation is done in 4 easy steps: you credit a text message account from Webmail, you choose the layout for implementing sending of text messages on your web site pages, you define the messages for errors or successful transmission, and you copy/paste the html code that we generate automatically for you onto your web page. And that’s all there is to it.
This option is available on your admin console under the « Tools » menu, "Text message platform".

If you no longer intend to use FrontPage, or if on the other hand you want to create your site using this software, we have to remove/install the FrontPage extensions on the server that hosts your site. This procedure will be completely automated in future and you will just need to go to your admin console to the "Tools" menu and then select "FrontPage".

From now on you will be able to choose your version of MySQL (4 or 5) from your admin console. To be able to change from one version to the other you must first completely delete your existing bases. You will then be offered a choice of version and this operation will also allow your databases for your web site to be separated physically, which will result in an optimisation of performance for your web site. The MySQL server address will change as well since you will now need to use mysql.(yourdomain).com instead of localhost.

This will allow your for instance to install CMS requiring more resources during the installation phase. The limits will change to 64 MB RAM and execution time to 5 minutes, both of which will apply for one hour. You can activate this functionality 10 times in one year.

This new option is available from your admin console http://admin.yoursite.com, in the « Tools » menu.
